About Erica Martin MSW, LCSW

My professional journey started with an undergraduate degree from Ole Miss, and later obtaining a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia in 2008. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.

My work experience includes serving as a therapist in private practice, public school social worker, and community mental healthcare. I have enjoyed working with with women, children, teens, and families in various capacities since 2009.

My approach to psychotherapy is simple. I use evidenced based theory influenced by person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy to empower and motivate change. Each person has the capacity for self determination and the ability to succeed. I believe the human spirit can overcome anything if it has hope!

Fun Facts:

  • My personal motto is  “Live out Loud”.
  • I believe we should feel awake and present in our lives. Usually that happens through following your heart.
  • I enjoy learning new things, deep conversation, travel with family, and hanging with girlfriends.
  •  I started swim lessons a year ago because I thought if not now then when. Ultimately I hated it, but I gave it a try because confronting the challenge made me feel ALIVE!
